Plastic Strap Seals

Plastic strapping sealers use buckles or crimp joints as the seal.

  • Buckles - the most economical method of joining strap, since they require no special sealing tool. Buckles are for low-volume, low-tension strapping of lightweight packages or bundles.
  • Crimp joints are formed by compressing the seal onto overlapping straps. The holding power of the joing is generated by squeezing the straps and the seal together.
    • Snap-on seals are placed on overlapping strap ends either during or after the strap tensioning.
    • Seal magazines are used with combination strapping tools. They are packaged in trays that can be conveniently placed at any strapping station.
